I lost my Internet connection

10:51:36 am, Categories: ID10T Errors, Humor

We parted ways with an employee a few months ago. I think now it is save to post this voice mail he left me -- once you hear it you'll know why I held on to it for so long.

Can you guess what the problem was? How would you respond to this?

I've seen this symptom in lab experiments with chimpanzees. It's a symptom brought on by frequent and prolonged deprivation of oxygen resulting in shallow and lazy thinking. Darwin usually sorts these creatures out to the tar pits or some other compassionate demise but unfortunately, some slip through to keep the gene pool a wee bit cloudy. Ok, so back to this person – The behavior exhibited is sometimes accompanied by an obsession with pornography since the person rarely think beyond basic urges like calling support without a wit of pre-thought. So what causes the person to make frequent, annoying and sometimes hilarious calls to tech support? The person may be suffering from a condition brought on by sleep apnea . Sleep apnea is a common, though often undiagnosed sleep disorder in which the subject stops breathing during the night, sometimes for as much as a minute or more. The disorder derives its name from the Greek word "apnea" meaning "without breath". This condition if left untreated can cause brain damage resulting in the type of behavior displayed by the subject.

So how do you respond to this numb nut? Suggest a few deep breaths; ask them to think about the problem they’re having for a few days and call you back if they’re unable to solve the problem. If they call you back and still have the problem, hand up and program the ADC to transfer their calls to 911.
